Working as a Speech Pathologist for many years in primary and secondary schools, I saw first-hand how stress and negative emotions, thoughts and beliefs can cloud a student’s ability to learn and prevent them from accessing their full capacities.
Stress impacts cognitive functions such as memory, mood and emotional regulation, attention span, planning and self-organisation, self-control, empathy, problem solving and decision making, motivation, learning, coordination and performance, confidence, self-esteem, and more. When our kids’ brains are preoccupied processing stressful feelings and beliefs such as “I can’t do maths!” their brains reinforce the unwanted behaviours and limit them from accessing the neural pathways necessary to reach their full potential.
Combining the most cutting-edge therapies with my qualifications in Speech Pathology I offer families an alternative, holistic, fast-solutions approach to addressing the root-causes of speech, language, learning, fluency and literacy difficulties. This innovative approach is transforming therapy for students of all ages.
